The AMD Ryzen 7000X3D already have a price and release date: the battle for the gaming throne is approaching

The AMD Ryzen 7000X3D no longer have any secrets. These will be the prices and launch dates of the new processors.

AMD Ryzen 7000X3D

On January 5, AMD presented the Ryzen 7000X3D, the processors they intend to wrest the crown from Intel regarding gaming. However, for an unknown reason, the red brand did not share many details of its launch, much less its prices. Fortunately, today those led by Lisa Su have resolved all doubts about it.

Higher performance variants of the AMD Ryzen 7000X3D, namely the Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 9 7950X3D, will be available starting February 28. Their suggested prices will be $599 and $699, respectively.

However, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which many consumers want to renew their PC aim for, will take longer to wait. Precisely, it will arrive until April 6 for 449 dollars.

The Ryzen 7000X3D has a considerable price increase compared to the versions without a 3D V-Cache, even more so, considering that the Ryzen 7000s have decreased their cost significantly in recent months.

Despite the above, many players waited for these variants to leap into the new generation of AMD processors finally. This is because the 3D V-Cache has proven to be an essential ally in enjoying video games.

In the previous generation, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D was the only model available with 3D V-Cache and was crowned the best processor in the PC Gaming industry. Its performance even surpassed the Intel Core i9-12000K —in video games.

However, AMD believes that offering more models can also attract those dedicated to content creation or any other professional task.

The AMD Ryzen 7000X3D will hit the market with the following features. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D has eight cores and 16 threads, while its clock frequency reaches 5 GHz. Its cache memory is limited to 104 MB, and the maximum consumption is 120 W.

For its part, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D integrates 12 cores and 24 threads. Its maximum clock frequency is 5.7 GHz, and the cache memory is 140 MB. Finally, we have the ultimate reference in power, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D. It boasts 16 cores and 32 threads, a clock frequency of up to 5.7 GHz, and a 144 MB cache memory. In both cases, the consumption is also capped at 120 W.

Be careful with the energy issue. Unlike the versions without 3D V-Cache, the Ryzen 7000X3D have a lower TDP. The reason? Your memory requires a suitable temperature to function correctly. The 7000X3D cannot exceed 89ºC, while its standard variants keep working without problems at 95ºC. It is also why these new processor models do not allow overclocking.

As for performance data, it is best to wait for tests outside the environments controlled by the companies. Based on their information, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D can be 13-24% faster than Ryzen 7 5800X3D in gaming. If we compare against the competition, the 7950X3D promises to offer between 4% and 52% more performance than the Intel Core i9-13900K in content creation tasks.
